The Seattle Seahawks have locked in nose tackle Brandon Pili for another season, officially re-signing him on Monday. Pili, who made a notable impact on both the defensive line and special teams, is set to continue his journey with the team. One of his standout moments last season was forcing a fumble on a kickoff against the Washington Commanders in Week 9, marking the team's first fumble recovery of the season.
Reflecting on his re-signing, Pili expressed his gratitude: “It means the world to me that they believe in me enough to give me another contract to come back here. And hopefully run it back again.
It’s life changing. After what this defense was able to do last year, I was excited.”
While the Seahawks kept the details of Pili’s contract under wraps, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported it as a one-year, $2 million deal. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 334 pounds, Pili entered the league undrafted from USC in 2023. His journey to the Seahawks began as a waiver claim on November 11, 2024, spending much of that season on the practice squad before joining the active roster just before the season finale, though he didn’t play in that game.
Pili made his debut in Week 2 of the 2025 season and clocked a season-high 29 snaps against the Commanders. Over 13 regular season games, he recorded 12 tackles. In the playoffs, he added three more tackles over 21 defensive snaps, though he was among those inactive for the Super Bowl.
With Pili back in the fold, the Seahawks are looking to build on last season's defensive efforts, aiming for another strong campaign.
