Seahawks' Rashid Shaheed Stuns Fans With Bold Post-Super Bowl Statement

Seahawks' wide receiver Rashid Shaheed eyes a continued journey with the team, eager to relive the glory of their recent Super Bowl triumph.

The Seattle Seahawks are still basking in the glory of their Super Bowl victory, but wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is already looking ahead. Fresh off helping the Seahawks clinch the Vince Lombardi Trophy against the New England Patriots, Shaheed is set to become a free agent in March.

Having joined Seattle midseason from the New Orleans Saints, Shaheed earned his first championship ring and is poised to attract significant interest on the open market. Yet, he's made it clear that his heart remains in Seattle.

“Absolutely,” he expressed when asked about re-signing with the Seahawks. “Conversations are definitely going to be heating up towards March.

But you know, I would love to come back. I loved my experience here, I'm loving the Pacific Northwest, and obviously, the organization is second to none.”

The 27-year-old playmaker, a two-time Pro Bowler, brought a dynamic edge to the Seahawks' offense with his speed and ability to make crucial plays. His arrival raised questions about his fit and role within the team, but Shaheed quickly silenced any doubts. Despite seeing fewer targets than during his time with the Saints, he proved to be a reliable asset.

Reflecting on the season, Shaheed said, “The goal for me is just to continue to win. Now that I've got a taste of a Super Bowl championship, I'm gonna continue to work towards that every year.”

In his nine games with Seattle, Shaheed recorded 15 receptions for 188 yards and added seven rushes for a career-best 64 yards. His contributions were instrumental in stabilizing the Seahawks' offense and providing poise under pressure. As free agency looms, Shaheed's future is a hot topic, but his desire to "run it back" with Seattle is unmistakable.
