The Seattle Seahawks are drawing plenty of attention as they head into 2026, and the case for them is built on more than just hype. They’re the defending Super Bowl champions, they play in a brutal division, and they still look equipped to make another serious run. One of the biggest swings could come before the season really settles in: a blockbuster trade. Seattle has already added Trevon Diggs and Terrion Arnold over the past month, which says plenty about how the team views its cornerback room.
Diggs is currently on the practice squad, and Arnold doesn’t have a timetable for his debut, so another move still feels very much on the table. Darnold finished with 14 interceptions last year, though four of them came in one game. After that, he cleaned things up, throwing only four picks over his next 10 games, including the playoffs.
With another year alongside his supporting cast and a new offensive coordinator, he should be even more comfortable running the offense. A season with fewer than 10 interceptions is very much in play.
The rookie who could steal the spotlight is Jadarian Price. He may not have been the first running back selected, but unlike Jeremiyah Love, he’s healthy.
That matters, especially with an underwhelming rookie quarterback class creating an opening for someone else to seize Offensive Rookie of the Year. The Seahawks didn’t want to put Price on tape and reveal too much to the rest of the league, but training camp reports have pointed to a big role for the speedy back.
He’s expected to be the workhorse, and with Brian Fleury looking to ease the burden on Darnold, Price could be headed for well over 1,000 rushing yards and double-digit touchdowns.
And then there’s the boldest call of all: Seattle sweeping the Rams. That would mean a season-ending primetime showdown in Week 17, a No. 1 seed, and a first-round bye.
The Seahawks have gotten into the Rams’ heads, and this matchup has clearly become personal. Los Angeles may have the talent to pull it off, but the pressure is squarely on the Rams.
Seattle has already been through this and knows what it takes to finish the job, while the Rams are trying to handle the heat of a season that could end with a Super Bowl in their own building.
