Seattle Seahawks General Manager John Schneider faces the challenging task of keeping a Super Bowl-winning team intact this offseason. The stakes are even higher with the franchise currently up for sale, adding an element of uncertainty about future ownership as they aim for back-to-back titles.
During a press conference at the Scouting Combine, Schneider addressed these challenges, emphasizing a "business as usual" approach. He shared insights from a recent conversation with team owner Jody Allen, highlighting their shared commitment to pursuing another championship.
“I had a great talk with Jody last week,” Schneider revealed. “It’s all about, like, ‘Hey, let’s go for it.
Let’s go win another one.’”
Schneider also mentioned plans to consult with Broncos GM George Paton, who has experience managing a team through an ownership transition. Schneider is keen to convey to any prospective owner the successful culture in Seattle, emphasizing how the organization has been "humming" with consistent success over the years. The Seahawks' winning tradition is something he wants to ensure continues, regardless of who holds the reins.
