The Seattle Seahawks have announced their inactives for their Week 16 showdown against the Los Angeles Rams, and there are a few notable names on the list-both for who’s missing and who’s suiting up.
Headlining the inactives is left tackle Charles Cross, who’s the only player sidelined due to injury. That’s a significant absence for Seattle, considering Cross has been a cornerstone on the offensive line.
With him out, and both Bryce Cabeldue and Mason Richman also inactive as healthy scratches, the Seahawks had to make a move to bolster their depth up front. Enter Amari Kight, who was elevated from the practice squad and will be available tonight to help plug the gap.
The rest of the inactive list includes quarterback Jalen Milroe, wide receiver Jake Bobo, linebacker Jared Ivey, and nose tackle Brandon Pili-all healthy scratches. While none of these names are surprise omissions based on recent game plans, it does speak to the shifting depth chart as Seattle gets a few key players back.
On the defensive side, both Jarran Reed and Rylie Mills are back in action, which explains why Pili and Ivey didn’t make the cut for tonight’s rotation. Their return adds some much-needed veteran presence and physicality in the trenches as the Seahawks gear up to face a Rams offense that’s been finding its rhythm.
One name that is active tonight after sitting out last week? Fullback Robbie Outzs.
His return to the lineup could hint at a more physical, run-heavy approach-or at least give Seattle more flexibility in short-yardage and goal-line situations. Outzs brings a hard-nosed edge to the backfield, and his presence could be a subtle but important factor in how the Seahawks attack the Rams defense.
With playoff implications hanging in the balance, every roster move matters. Seattle’s depth will be tested, especially along the offensive line, but the return of key veterans and strategic activations suggest the Seahawks are ready for a physical battle in prime time.
