DeForest Buckner didn’t leave much room for interpretation when he talked about a possible move away from the Colts. The 49ers defensive tackle made it clear there was only one destination on his mind.
“I wanted to come here. I didn’t want to go anywhere else… This is where I wanted to be.”
In Arizona, Cardinals guard Hjalte Froholdt opened up about both his health going into Sunday’s game against Dallas and the block that stood out to him afterward. He said he took a careful approach before the matchup, then explained how the play unfolded once he got on the field.
“Just took more of a cautious approach and make sure I was good for Sunday,” Froholdt said, via AZCardinals.com. “It’s pretty cool. It was a pretty good block, I think.”
He then walked through the moment in detail, saying he recognized the extra defender and decided to attack the play aggressively.
“I was like, ‘OK, I literally have zero people,’” Froholdt continued. “So I looked for the extra guy and it was the safety Downs.
I could’ve played it safe and played it inside out and make sure nobody hits it. I just decided run as fast as I can.
The way Downs kind of moved outside I knew TA was right behind me, so I just kind of shot my hands out at him and ended up getting him down. He bounced right back up, so I hit him again.”
Over in Seattle, Mike Macdonald addressed the ripple effect of the Seahawks’ trade for Quenton Nelson, which pushed Anthony Bradford out of the starting lineup. The coach didn’t try to dress it up.
“It’s not an easy situation,” Macdonald said, via NBC Sports. “I thought Anthony played good football for us, and he has, and he’s earned a significant role on our team, a starting-level role.
It’s one of those ‘through not around’ type of things with AB that is not easy. There’s no way to sugarcoat it, and he believes this when we say this, how much we love him.
The guys love him in the locker room. He’s a fantastic teammate.
We don’t expect him to be jumping over joy in this situation because that’s not realistic, but he’s going to be a great teammate and he’s going to stay ready. We know how this league works.
You’re a play away from him playing every play again. It’s not an easy situation, but he’s a tough cookie, and the guys will have his back as well and we’re behind him as well, but it’s not easy.”

Seahawks May Not Be Done After Their Biggest Trade Yet
The Seahawks already made the kind of move that can reshape a season, landing six-time All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson from the Colts before the NFL trade deadline. For a team trying to keep building around its roster in the middle of the year, it was the sort of aggressive swing that signaled Seattle was not content to stand pat.
John Schneider has since made it clear the work may not be finished, with Seattle still in trade conversations as the deadline approaches. Running back, wide receiver and edge rusher remain the most obvious areas to watch, and ESPN has already pointed to several candidates who could fit what the Seahawks are looking for if they decide to keep adding.
