Anthony Bradford isn’t hiding how he feels about Seattle.
With training camp winding down for the defending Super Bowl champs, the Seahawks have a contract decision to think about, and Bradford made his stance clear on Monday through Seahawks insider Gregg Bell. He said the team still hasn’t come to him about a new deal, but the door is wide open on his end.
“They haven't approached me for a new deal yet. But I would love to stay,” Bradford bluntly said.
Bradford went a step further when talking about what the Seahawks mean to him.
“I was literally talking about this with my brother the other day. There is nowhere else I would rather be.
My heart and soul are in Seattle,” Bradford added. “I feel that I am a Seahawk.”
And if a contract extension actually landed in front of him? Bradford didn’t sound like someone who’d need much time to think it over.
“If I can spend the next 10-15 years here? I would sign that contract quick.
Of course, I want to be here,” Bradford said. “I love the fans, I love my teammates, the coaching staff, and I love what we are doing here, so yes, please!”
Seattle, though, has options in the guard room. The team drafted Beau Stephens in the fifth round to add competition, and Christian Haynes is also in the mix after arriving in the 2024 draft as one of Mike Macdonald’s first selections.
Bradford’s 2024 season wasn’t clean. Pro Football Focus gave him low marks, including a 76th-place finish overall in pass blocking efficiency. Even so, he still brings depth and starting experience, and he’s clearly hoping that’s enough to keep him in Seattle for the long haul.
