The Texans and Seahawks are both showing interest in a reunion with Jadeveon Clowney, according to Aaron Wilson.
Clowney, who recently worked out for the Browns and walked away without a deal, appears to have a market as a rotational pass rusher. At 33, he’s still drawing attention from teams looking for help off the edge.
The former No. 1 overall pick entered the league with Houston in 2014. He was playing on the final year of his four-year, $22.272 million contract when the Texans exercised his fifth-year option, which paid him $12.306 million for the 2018 season.
Houston later used the franchise tag on Clowney before sending him to the Seahawks at the start of the 2019 regular season. He didn’t land his next contract until September 2020, when he signed a one-year deal with the Titans worth up to $15 million.
From there, Clowney kept moving. He signed one-year deals with the Browns in 2021 and 2022, with the second worth $11 million, then joined the Ravens in 2023 on another one-year pact before moving on to the Panthers on a two-year contract. Carolina released him after just one season.
Most recently, Clowney signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys worth $3.5 million and worth up to $6 million with incentives for the 2025 season. In 2025, he played 13 games for Dallas and posted 41 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, one forced fumble, two recoveries and four pass defenses.
