49ers
The 49ers are buzzing with excitement as head coach Kyle Shanahan welcomes wide receiver Mike Evans to the squad. Evans is set to be a game-changer on the perimeter, bringing a new dynamic to the team’s offense.
“Mike is a unique dude,” Shanahan shared. “He’s a Hall of Famer.
Never had a guy truly like Mike. His length and ability to stretch the field are unmatched.
He’s a fierce competitor and truly committed to winning. That’s why he chose us.”
Evans’ decision to join the 49ers, even turning down more lucrative offers, speaks volumes about his dedication.
“That says everything about how important football is to him,” Shanahan noted. “He wanted the best football situation, and with players like him, we have a chance to do something special.”
Rams
The Rams are gearing up for a stronger defensive presence with the additions of cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson. Defensive lineman Braden Fiske is optimistic about the impact these new players will have.
“I’m all about it. That means more time to get to the quarterback,” Fiske said.
“Adding good players like Trent and Jaylen, and bringing back Kam Curl, boosts our defensive mentality. We’ve got Kam Kinchens and E-Man (Emmanuel Forbes Jr.) back there too.
I love it. There’s so much potential with this team.”
On the financial front, linebacker Grant Stuard’s new two-year deal is worth noting, with a base value of $4.45 million and a maximum of $5.05 million, including a $300,000 signing bonus and $3.5 million guaranteed.
Seahawks
Over in Seattle, the Seahawks are adjusting their backfield with the addition of running back Emanuel Wilson. General Manager John Schneider is confident Wilson can fill the void left by Kenneth Walker’s departure.
“Our pro staff did a great job spotting Emanuel,” Schneider said. “This 230-pound runner with great feet is a perfect fit for us. He’s a heavy runner and brings something different.”
While there’s optimism surrounding Zach Charbonnet’s recovery, his return might not be until mid-season.
“If it was up to Charbs, he’d have played the last two games,” Schneider remarked. “His work ethic is outstanding, and his rehab is on track.”
Schneider also highlighted George Holani’s role in the team’s rotation, praising his performances in key games.
“George was awesome in the NFC title game and Super Bowl,” Schneider said. “Every time he’s on the field, he delivers.”
