The Seattle Torrent now know what their first season in the PWHL Western Conference will look like.
The league released the 2026-27 schedule, and Seattle’s slate includes 30 games with 15 home dates at Climate Pledge Arena. The Torrent open the year on Dec. 5 at Vancouver at 12 p.m. PT, then head to San Jose on Dec. 9 and Minnesota on Dec. 13 before returning home for their first game at CPA on Dec. 20 against Las Vegas at 4 p.m.
Seattle’s home schedule also includes visits from Boston on Dec. 23, New York on Dec.
31, Ottawa on Jan. 8, Montreal on Jan.
10, Hamilton on Jan. 14, Vancouver on Feb.
4, Detroit on Feb. 13, Las Vegas on Feb.
28, Toronto on March 31, Vancouver on April 6, Minnesota on April 9 and San Jose on April 17, which is listed as TBA.
This will be the first season in PWHL history with enough teams to split into conferences, and Seattle lands in the Western Conference. The league’s alignment puts Seattle alongside PWHL Detroit, PWHL Las Vegas, Minnesota Frost, PWHL San Jose and Vancouver Goldeneyes. In the East are Boston Fleet, PWHL Hamilton, Montréal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge and Toronto Sceptres.
As has become standard for the league, teams with “PWHL” in their name will not wear a nickname or logo on their jerseys even if one is chosen during the season. That means Seattle will likely be adding its logo to its gear soon.
The Torrent are also part of four Takeover Tour stops this season. Those neutral-site games are meant to test interest in possible expansion markets and show local markets that teams can draw bigger crowds if they want to move into larger buildings.
Seattle’s four Takeover Tour dates are Jan. 16 against Las Vegas, Jan. 24 against San Jose, March 13 against Detroit and March 26 against Minnesota. The locations for those games have not yet been announced.
Seattle’s schedule also includes road games at Hamilton on Jan. 28, New York on Feb.
7, Las Vegas on Feb. 11, Boston on Feb.
17, Toronto on Feb. 20, Ottawa on Feb.
24, Vancouver on March 10, Montreal on March 23 and Detroit on March 28, with the season wrapping up after the April 17 meeting with San Jose.

Kraken Sent An Early Message About What This Team Could Be
The season opener could hardly have gone much better for the Kraken, who rolled past Calgary and immediately showed the kind of depth and pace this roster wants to lean on. Jordan Eberle, Vince Dunn and Freddy Gaudreau all struck in the first period, giving Seattle an early cushion and an instant jolt of confidence in front of a home crowd that had to like what it saw.
The scoring kept coming late, with Chandler Stephenson, Matty Beniers and Kaapo Kakko all adding goals in the third to turn a strong start into a statement win. Joey Daccord was steady throughout in net and even got involved in the offense, a reminder that Seattles night was about more than just an opening-night result. [Read more 🡒]
