Brandon Aiyuk’s name has started popping up in Dallas, and for Cowboys fans, it’s easy to see why the idea has caught fire. The Polymarket App currently gives Aiyuk a 21% chance of ending up with the Cowboys, and that number has only added fuel to the speculation. A post from Dov Kleiman on July 11, 2026, framed Dallas as one of the favorites to sign the 49ers wideout and pointed to the possibility of a CeeDee Lamb, Pickens and Aiyuk trio.
On paper, that kind of receiver room would be outrageous. In practice, it runs straight into the NFL’s financial reality.
Money is the first wall. Lamb already has a massive contract, Pickens is expected to want a major raise soon, and Aiyuk is sitting on a four-year, $120 million deal he signed in 2024. Trying to squeeze three expensive stars into the same roster under the salary cap is a brutal puzzle, especially for a team that still has plenty of other top players to pay.
