Kings Sign Patrick Baldwin Jr. to Boost Their Roster Power

The Sacramento Kings bolster their roster by signing former first-round pick Patrick Baldwin Jr. to a two-way contract, adding depth and potential to their lineup.

The Sacramento Kings have made a strategic move by signing free agent forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. to a two-way contract. This decision adds depth to their roster as they look to bolster their lineup for the remainder of the season.

Baldwin, a former first-round pick, has been honing his skills in the G League with the San Diego Clippers for much of the 2025/26 season. His recent stints on 10-day contracts with both the Clippers and the Sixers have kept him in the NBA conversation, and now he finds a new opportunity with Sacramento.

Standing at 7 feet tall, Baldwin brings size and versatility to the power forward position. Over his NBA career, spanning four seasons, he's appeared in 96 games. Drafted 28th overall in 2022, the 23-year-old has averaged 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in just under nine minutes per game, playing for teams like the Warriors, Wizards, Clippers, and 76ers.

This season in the G League, Baldwin has shown significant promise. In 26 games with San Diego, he's posted impressive numbers: 21.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, with shooting percentages of .518 from the field, .336 from beyond the arc, and .667 from the free-throw line.

The Kings had room to maneuver with an open two-way spot, so adding Baldwin didn't require any corresponding roster moves. They still have a standard roster spot available, giving them flexibility as the season progresses.

As Baldwin joins the Kings, he'll be looking to make the most of this opportunity and prove his worth in the NBA. With his skill set and potential, Sacramento fans have reason to be optimistic about what he can bring to the team.
