Kings
DeMar DeRozan was swirling in trade rumors before the deadline, but the Kings decided to hold onto their veteran scorer. Right now, it looks like they made the right call.
DeRozan has been on a scoring spree, recently dropping a season-high 41 points. Coach Doug Christie likens DeRozan to a "comfy blanket," highlighting his reliability.
"You watch him work, and it’s the same thing every night," Christie noted. In other words, DeRozan is delivering consistent, dependable scoring, night after night.
Suns
The Suns are deep in the Western Conference playoff race, but the road ahead is anything but easy. With a 39-28 record, Phoenix faces the third-toughest remaining schedule in the league.
Sitting seventh in the West, they’re eager to climb out of play-in territory. Guard Collin Gillespie emphasized the urgency: "Every game is super important.
We’ve got to take it one game at a time and focus on the details." The Suns are wrapping up a challenging road trip with games in Boston, Minnesota, and San Antonio.
Warriors
Warriors coach Steve Kerr is once again advocating for a shorter NBA season. Kerr argues that reducing the 82-game schedule could enhance the league's overall product, even if it means less revenue.
"I’m willing to stick my neck out and say I’m all for that because the quality of the product is the most important thing," Kerr stated. He suggests cutting around 10 games to ensure fans get the best experience.
"We have incredible people in this league and great fans," he added, underscoring his commitment to delivering top-quality basketball.
