The Sacramento Kings are leaning hard into family fun for the 2026-27 season, rolling out a slate of theme nights at Golden 1 Center that will bring in some of the most recognizable names in kids’ entertainment.
The team announced Tuesday that Snoopy, SpongeBob, Elmo and Hello Kitty will all be part of select home games, with special giveaways and in-arena experiences sprinkled throughout the schedule.
“Kings games are about creating moments that families can experience and remember together,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart.
“These theme nights bring some of the most recognizable and beloved characters to Golden 1 Center alongside our own fan favorite, Slamson. We’re excited to give kids and families even more reasons to come together, cheer on the Kings and make lasting memories.”
Peanuts Night returns Sunday, December 13 at 6 p.m. against the New Orleans Pelicans for a second season. The first 10,000 fans will get a Snoopy x Kings hat, and Snoopy will be back at Golden 1 Center for meet-and-greet opportunities during the night.
A couple of weeks later, the Kings will turn the building into Bikini Bottom for SpongeBob Night on Sunday, December 27 at 3 p.m. against the Utah Jazz. The first 7,000 fans will receive a SpongeBob cooler bag, and SpongeBob will also be on hand for photos and fan meet-and-greets.
Sesame Street Day is set for Sunday, January 10 at 6 p.m. against the Charlotte Hornets. Elmo will attend that game and take part in meet-and-greet opportunities, while the team says more giveaway details will be announced later.
Slamson gets his own spotlight on Sunday, March 14 at 3 p.m. against the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a birthday celebration built around mascot fun and other festivities.
The theme-night lineup wraps with Hello Kitty Night on Saturday, March 27 at 7 p.m. against the Toronto Raptors. Fans will receive a Hello Kitty plush keychain blind box with four versions of Hello Kitty in Kings jerseys, along with an exclusive golden version for one lucky recipient. Hello Kitty will also be at the arena for special meet-and-greet opportunities.
The Kings said fans will be able to unlock limited-time 24-hour offers that include 20% off eligible single-game tickets to select theme nights. The team said fans can follow along on social media and sign up for emails at Kings.com/ThemeNights to find out when each offer goes live.

Domantas Sabonis is moving along faster than expected in his recovery from a torn meniscus, and the Kings are planning with the hope that hell be ready for the 2026-27 NBA season as their starting center. Even with the questions that have followed him in Sacramento, his offensive impact still matters a great deal, especially for a team that has spent the last few seasons trying to define its core and sort out the frontcourt around him.
The bigger issue is what comes next. Sacramento has other young big men in the pipeline, and Sabonis long-term fit is still very much a live conversation because of the defense concerns and the contract value attached to him.
