Rutgers has reason to feel better about its offensive talent after a five-win season last fall, and now two Scarlet Knights are getting national attention for something beyond production: pure athletic freakiness.
Wide receiver KJ Duff and offensive guard Kobe Asamoah both landed on Bruce Feldman’s annual Freaks List for The Athletic, a ranking that spotlights the most physically impressive players in college football.
Duff checked in at No. 21 after a breakout 2025 campaign that pushed him into the conversation as a true No. 1 receiver in the Big Ten for the upcoming season. At 6-6 and 225 pounds, he put together a sophomore year that turned plenty of heads, finishing with 60 catches for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns.
He also led the country with 22 contested catches, according to PFF. Feldman noted that Duff posted a 4.16 shuttle time this summer and added a 10-3 broad jump.
Asamoah, meanwhile, has become a fixture on Rutgers’ offensive line and another reason for the unit’s growing reputation. He allowed just 11 pressures last season and earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten recognition for his work at right guard.
Feldman described Asamoah as someone who has “started 25 games at right guard the past two seasons and has emerged as one of the better linemen in the Big Ten.” The 6-2, 310-pound blocker brings notable size and strength, with a 6-10 wingspan, 34-inch arms and 10 5/8-inch hands. This offseason, he squatted 605 pounds and performed pull-ups at 305 pounds with an additional 105 pounds attached.

Rutgers field hockey is turning this fall into a reunion as it prepares to host its annual Letterwinners Weekend from Oct. 16-18, with games against Michigan and Michigan State giving the program a chance to welcome back some of its past standouts.
