Rutgers has two more names showing up on the preseason national radar.
Offensive lineman Kwabena Asamoah landed on the Pro Football Network preseason All-America first team, while running back Antwan Raymond earned second-team honors when the teams were released Monday.
Asamoah’s recognition fits the season he just put together. He started all 12 games at right guard in 2025 and has now opened each of the past 25 games at that spot dating back to the previous year.
He was already a Second Team All-America selection by ESPN, and the numbers around Rutgers’ offense help explain why. The Scarlet Knights averaged 389.1 yards of total offense in Big Ten play, their best mark in a season since joining the league.
That offense also produced a 3,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher and a 1,000-yard receiver for the second time in program history, and the first time since 2007.
Rutgers’ regular-season efficiency showed up in a few other places, too. The team ranked 14th nationally in time of possession at 32:31, 15th in yards per completion at 13.7 and 20th in first downs gained with 279. Asamoah, from Pickerington, Ohio, is also a two-time honorable mention All-Big Ten pick.
Raymond’s season was just as packed with production. He was one of 10 semifinalists for the Doak Walker National Running Back Award, won the Cornish Trophy as the top Canadian in college football and was named a Fourth Team All-America pick by Phil Steele. He finished 2025 with 244 carries for 1,241 yards and 15 touchdowns, including 13 rushing scores and two receiving touchdowns.
That rushing total placed him third in the Big Ten, 14th nationally and eighth on Rutgers’ single-season list. Raymond had four 100-yard rushing games, highlighted by a 240-yard outing on a school-record-tying 41 carries in the win over Maryland. He found the end zone in 10 games, ranking third in the league in touchdowns scored, and he also finished second in the Big Ten with 122.2 all-purpose yards per game and eighth nationally with 244 rushing attempts.
The season brought more than just on-field honors for Raymond. He earned Second Team All-Big Ten recognition from both the media and coaches, along with Academic All-Big Ten and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team® status.
Rutgers opens the season Thursday, Sept. 3, hosting UMass at SHI Stadium.

Katie Larmour is headed back onto a global stage, this time with Team Ireland after being added to its squad for the upcoming FIH Hockey World Cup in Wavre, Belgium. The Rutgers field hockey alum has already worn Ireland colors in major international competitions, including the EuroHockey Championship and the FIH Pro League, and now gets another chance to represent her country in one of the sports premier events.
Ireland enters the tournament ranked 12th in the world and will open Pool C play Aug. 16 against Spain, New Zealand and host Belgium. For Rutgers, it is another reminder of the level Larmour reached after her college career, and for Ireland it adds an experienced piece to a group facing a demanding path in the early rounds. Rutgers Field Hockey Revisits One Of The Programs Biggest Title Moments
Rutgers field hockey is turning this fall into a reunion as it prepares to host its annual Letterwinners Weekend from Oct. 16-18, with games against Michigan and Michigan State giving the program a chance to welcome back some of its past standouts. The centerpiece of the weekend will come during Senior Day, when the Scarlet Knights honor the 2021 Big Ten Tournament champions on the five-year anniversary of that breakthrough run.
