Purdue women’s basketball has its first non-conference date on the 2026-27 calendar, and it comes with a trip to Orlando and a pair of power-conference matchups.
The Boilermakers will head to Walt Disney World for the WBCA Showcase, where they’ll face Florida State on Thursday, Nov. 19, and Texas Tech on Saturday, Nov. 21.
Both games are set for State Farm Field House at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Broadcast details are still to come, but the tipoff times have already been announced.
“I’m excited to have this group of young women represent Purdue at the WBCA showcase,” head coach Katie Gearlds told Purdue Boilermakers on SI. “Trips like these offer the opportunity to compete against elite programs and grow together as a unit at some incredible destinations. We are looking forward to an exciting week in Florida.”
The showcase marks Purdue’s first non-conference schedule announcement for the 2026-27 season. In a statement from the school, the rest of the schedule is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks. The Boilermakers’ Big Ten opponents for the year have already been released.
This also gives Purdue a chance to test itself against two teams it hasn’t seen often. The Boilermakers have played Florida State and Texas Tech a combined five times. Purdue is 2-0 all-time against Texas Tech and 1-2 against Florida State, including a 1-1 mark under Gearlds.
Florida State finished the 2025-26 season at 10-21 overall and 5-13 in ACC play. Texas Tech went 26-8, posted a 12-6 record in the Big 12, earned a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the second round.
For Purdue, the Orlando trip offers an early measuring stick before Big Ten play begins in December.
