Simone Biles says a car theft at her Chicago home helped push her and husband Jonathan Owens toward getting a dog for protection.
In a TikTok video posted Monday, Sept. 21, Biles said three masked men came to the house and took her Porsche during the final months she and Owens were living in Chicago.
"Feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in mask[s] came to our house and stole my Porsche," Biles said. "Stole the GTS."
She added, "But that's another story. If you guys wanna know, I'll do a 'storytime' on that.
I feel like I need a reality TV show. The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity.
And so it would be really easy for producers to just film regularly."
Biles said the theft was "one of the reasons" she and Owens decided to get their Doberman Pinscher, Remi, for protection. She did not offer any more details about the incident, but said the couple got the vehicle back and were "onto the next."
The Olympic gold medalist was speaking on social media while getting ready to pick up a new car. She said she had planned to check out several luxury dealerships, including Porsche, Audi and Lamborghini, but the trip ended with Porsche winning out.
"Then we went over to Porsche. They had Cayenne GTS, and, baby, when they turn that thing on, I was sold.
I felt like Tiffany Haddish from 'Girls Trip,'" Biles said. "'Give it to me, I want it.
Give it to me.' So, we never even made it to Lambo."
Biles also confirmed she plans to officially move to the Indianapolis area later, following Owens, who plays for the Colts.
"I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there (to Indianapolis) a little bit later," she told People magazine early in September. "So I haven’t experienced too much, but the stadium is stunning.
It’s beautiful. I’m just excited to watch my husband.
"It doesn’t matter, as long as he’s safe and healthy and he’s having fun, then I don’t care."
