Something shifted with Joey Porter Jr., and the Steelers are the ones feeling it.
After spending the early part of the regular season away from the spotlight, Porter Jr. finally met with the media and addressed where things stand with Pittsburgh. It was his first public appearance since the team and the cornerback did not get a deal done before Week 1, the organization’s internal deadline for negotiations.
This time, the tone was different. Porter said he wants to get back on the field for his teammates and is waiting for his back injury to fully heal before he plays this season.
