PITTSBURGH - Jaquan Brisker’s journey through the football landscape has brought him back to his roots, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Wearing the No. 3 Pittsburgh Steelers jersey, Brisker is living out a vision he’s held since his early childhood days.

“Growing up, I was always tossing a football around the house, even at 4 or 5 years old. My mom would often have to take it away,” Brisker shared during his introductory press conference at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.

“Whether it was using socks or water bottles, I was always pretending to play football. Being a Steeler seemed like a distant dream, but now that I’m here, I feel incredibly blessed and humbled.

It gives me chills to know I’m a Pittsburgh Steeler and I’m from Pittsburgh.”

Brisker’s professional path began with the Chicago Bears, where he spent four seasons after being drafted in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. His collegiate career included standout performances at Lackawanna College and Penn State, and he first made his mark at Gateway High School in Monroeville.

Reflecting on what it will feel like to run out of the home tunnel at Acrisure Stadium, Brisker said, “I’ve been imagining it, and it’s incredible. Seeing the Terrible Towel waving, hearing ‘Renegade’ play - it’s going to be amazing to play in front of the fans and get them fired up.

The energy and passion this city has for the team is unmatched. Even when I was in Chicago, I saw how well Steelers fans travel.

I can’t wait to play for them.”
