On Wednesday, Kennedy’s legal team-Head Murphy Law-announced a press conference scheduled for Friday. In a statement emailed to media outlets, the firm said it would address what it described as an “assault” on Kennedy by Metcalf and denounced “false public allegations” that Kennedy had used racial or misogynistic language during the exchange. According to the release, Kennedy “categorically denies” using any such slurs.
As it stands, the NFL’s review is ongoing. The league’s guest code of conduct outlines a clear expectation: fans must refrain from disruptive behavior, including abusive language and physical altercations. Whether Kennedy’s actions crossed that line is now under formal scrutiny.
