Aaron Rodgers has reopened an old chapter with Shailene Woodley, and the reaction around her has been anything but calm.
On Cam Heyward’s podcast this week, Rodgers revisited the breakup and said that just days after he proposed in December, Woodley made a startling request. “A couple days after that she tells me, ‘Before we get married, I gotta go f- this guy.’”

He also said she could have simply turned down the proposal. “Now, she maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision. She could have said no.”
Rodgers insisted there was no meaningful relationship left by 2022. “She literally told me, ‘I don’t want to be with you.’”
The podcast appearance wasn’t limited to Woodley. Rodgers also took aim at Donald Trump and another ex, former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick.
A friend of Woodley’s told TMZ the issue is less about the breakup itself and more about Rodgers choosing now to talk about it. “We’re questioning why a married dude is bringing up an ex he hasn’t spoken with in over 2 years.”
Rodgers is married now, and the source says he has not spoken with Woodley in more than two years. Woodley, meanwhile, has had recent success, including winning an Emmy and taking over social media.
Her friends say she has stayed quiet about Rodgers while he put the breakup on a podcast microphone. And for now, Woodley herself has not responded publicly.
