Suns Injury Report: Booker, Green Questionable; Allen, Livers Out Ahead of 76ers Clash
PHOENIX - As the Phoenix Suns gear up for Saturday’s matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, their latest injury report paints a picture of a team walking a tightrope between optimism and adversity.
Let’s start with the big names: Devin Booker and Jalen Green are both listed as questionable. Booker is still working his way back from a right ankle sprain he suffered on January 23 against the Hawks.
It’s the kind of tweak that can linger - especially for a player who relies so much on footwork and balance to create space and elevate off the dribble. The Suns have been cautious with his recovery, and understandably so.
When Booker’s on the floor, he’s the engine that drives this offense.
Green’s situation is a little more layered. He’s dealing with both right hamstring injury management and a left hip contusion - the latter coming from a hard fall on January 30 against Cleveland.
He hasn’t had much of a chance to build rhythm in Phoenix’s system, and these injuries have only added to the stop-and-start nature of his season. The Suns were hoping his athleticism and scoring punch would complement Booker in the backcourt, but that tandem has been more theoretical than actual so far.
And while there's hope that one or both could suit up, the Suns already know they’ll be without two key rotation pieces: Grayson Allen and Isaiah Livers have both been ruled out.
Allen exited Thursday night’s game against the Warriors with a right knee sprain. It happened late, but the impact is significant.
He’s been a steady presence for Phoenix this season, often stepping into a starting role when the backcourt has been banged up. His shooting and defensive effort have helped hold the line during stretches without Booker or Green.
Livers, meanwhile, suffered a left shoulder sprain in the second quarter of that same game. While he’s not a headline name, his minutes off the bench have mattered - especially when Phoenix has needed energy and defensive versatility on the wing.
With Allen and Livers sidelined, and Booker and Green uncertain, the Suns will need to dig into their depth. That means more responsibility for role players and bench scorers - guys who may not always get the spotlight but will be critical in keeping the offense afloat and maintaining defensive integrity.
The 76ers come to town on Saturday night, and the Suns will be hoping their stars can make it to the floor. If not, it’s going to take a full-team effort to keep pace with one of the East’s toughest squads.
Suns Injury Report vs. 76ers:
- OUT: Grayson Allen (right knee sprain), Isaiah Livers (left shoulder sprain)
- QUESTIONABLE: Devin Booker (right ankle sprain), Jalen Green (right hamstring injury management / left hip contusion)
Tipoff is set for Saturday, February 7, at 7 p.m.
