Should The Eagles Trade For Maxx Crosby?

Maxx Crosby's potential trade is drawing interest from top teams, as the Raiders weigh offers in hopes of capitalizing on their star defender's high market value.

Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders remains a hot topic in trade discussions, even after a recent deal with the Baltimore Ravens fell through. According to Pro Football Focus' John Kosko, Crosby stands as the Raiders' most valuable trade asset, and it's easy to see why.

Despite the Ravens backing out at the last minute due to concerns over Crosby’s physical, his value on the field is undeniable. Over the past four seasons, Crosby has been a force, contributing to 33% of the Raiders’ total sacks and 27% of their pressures. Even with a slight dip in his usual production recently, he still doubled the sack count of his closest teammate, Tyree Wilson.

The Raiders weren't keen on trading Crosby initially, which explains their high asking price of two first-round picks. Crosby has since reaffirmed his commitment to the team, but reports suggest the Raiders might still entertain offers if the price is right.

As the trade deadline approaches, the situation could change, especially if the Raiders struggle. Teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and Chicago Bears might be potential suitors.

The Cowboys, having recently acquired Rashan Gary, might still be in the market for more edge-rushing talent, given Gary's inconsistent performance. The Eagles, facing uncertainty with Brandon Graham and the departure of Jaelan Phillips, are also in need of reinforcement along the edge. Meanwhile, the Bears, despite having Montez Sweat, could benefit from adding more firepower to their defense.

The landscape for Crosby is dynamic, and while he remains with the Raiders for now, the trade winds could shift as the season progresses.
