TNT Sports is kicking off its sixth season of NHL on TNT in Philadelphia, setting up its Opening Night coverage from Stateside Live! before the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers meet on Wednesday, September 30.
The network’s on-site coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET, with the game itself scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The night starts earlier for fans, who can get into the action at Stateside Live! beginning at 3 p.m. as the opening night studio show takes over from Philadelphia’s Sports Complex.
The event is built around the return of one of hockey’s most heated rivalries, and it comes as part of TNT Sports’ season-opening doubleheader.
That doubleheader starts with Penguins-Flyers at 7:30 p.m. and rolls on with the Los Angeles Kings at the Colorado Avalanche at 10 p.m.
The NHL on TNT Face Off pregame show will air beginning at 6 p.m., featuring live interviews, special guest appearances, fan interaction and full analysis. Liam McHugh will host alongside Wayne Gretzky, Henrik Lundqvist, Anson Carter and Paul Bissonnette. The studio crew will also stay on throughout the night for intermissions and postgame coverage after Kings-Avalanche.
