Stefon Diggs’ legal fight has taken another turn, with newly filed court documents showing the wide receiver asked Christopher Griffith to produce records tied to their May 2023 trip to Washington, D.C. TMZ reported Tuesday that Griffith pushed back on the request, saying Diggs already had the materials.
Griffith’s position is that the demand makes little sense because Diggs and his team were the ones who arranged the trip in the first place. His lawyer argued:
“[T]o the extent travel arrangements, confirmations or related documents exist, they are at least equally within [Stefon’s] possession, custody or control.”
That trip is the one at the center of Griffith’s allegations. He has claimed that Diggs sexually assaulted him after giving him candy that was, without Griffith knowing it, laced with a drug. Griffith says Diggs then exposed himself and began masturbating, which disgusted him.
According to Griffith, Diggs also tried to kiss him and invited him to his room, but Griffith refused. About a week later, Griffith says Diggs’ older brother Darez and two others attacked him.
Diggs has denied the allegations and responded with a defamation lawsuit against Griffith. His lawyer said:
"[Chris] engaged in extreme and outrageous conduct by knowingly publishing false statements accusing Plaintiff of violence, sexual assault, drugging people, and serious crimes."
Even with the case hanging over him, Diggs is still being discussed as a possible NFL option. On Monday’s episode of ESPN’s NFL Live, former quarterback Tim Hasselbeck suggested the Chiefs as a fit, saying:
"I think that there's value in Stefon Diggs in some role. A veteran receiver in some role, a team that's good with a quarterback that can handle him."
Jeremy Fowler also said Diggs could draw interest later in the offseason, adding:
"I'm hearing he's gonna have a market closer to training camp. I was told that at least five teams that need a wide receiver have been checking in.
I'm looking to the DMV; that's where he's from. Commanders certainly need a receiver.
I think they're looking for more a speed option at this point."
On the field, Diggs finished the 2025 season with 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. He added 14 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown in the playoffs.

Eagles Fans Won't Like This New Rams Rumor One Bit
The Rams defensive front already has enough bite to make the Eagles pay attention in Week 4, but the conversation around Aaron Donald has only sharpened that concern. Reports say Donald is ramping up his workouts and trying to get back into football shape, which is the sort of development that immediately changes how a matchup gets viewed in Philadelphia.
Ian Rapoport noted that Donald is still lifting and posting on Instagram as he works his way back toward the field, adding another layer to the speculation. Nothing is confirmed yet, but even the possibility of Donald lining up again would give the Rams a far more dangerous interior presence and create a much tougher test for the Eagles offense than it was expecting. Howie Rosemans Biggest Eagles Gamble Could Define This Pass Rush
The Eagles paid a steep price to make Jonathan Greenard the centerpiece of their next pass-rush push, sending two third-round picks to Minnesota before locking him into a four-year, $100 million deal. It is the kind of move that tells you exactly how Philadelphia views the edge position now, especially after losing Jaelan Phillips in free agency to Carolina.
Greenard arrives with the expectation that he can help keep the pressure package from slipping, and the cost of getting him makes the margin for error pretty slim. For Howie Roseman, this is the sort of gamble that can look obvious in hindsight if the pass rush takes off, or linger as a reminder if it does not. [Read more 🡒]
Zack Bauns Rise Just Changed The Eagles Defensive Conversation
Zack Bauns arrival from New Orleans looked like a useful addition at the time, but two seasons under Vic Fangio have turned him into something much bigger for the Eagles defense. Hes settled in as one of the most productive and dependable players on the roster, and the latest Sports Illustrated top-25 list for 2025 reflects that climb, with Baun landing at No. 6 after being further down the board a year ago.
The numbers back up the rise. Over 32 games in Philadelphia, Baun has piled up tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, interceptions, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries, the kind of all-around production that changes how a defense is built and discussed. He is also only in the second year of his three-year contract, which means the Eagles are still getting the full benefit of a player who has already gone from intriguing pickup to central piece, even if the larger debate around where he fits among the leagues best is still very much alive.
