The veteran wide receiver found himself at the center of controversy during the 2025 season, with his cryptic social media posts sparking plenty of chatter around the league. Many believe he may have already played his last game in an Eagles uniform, as several teams are reportedly monitoring his situation closely.
Adding fuel to the fire, Saquon Barkley recently hinted at Brown's preferred destination, intensifying the trade rumors. It seems increasingly likely that the Eagles might part ways with the former Tennessee Titans star. General Manager Howie Roseman has expressed a desire to keep great players on the roster but hasn't ruled out the possibility of trading Brown.
According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Roseman is actively working to generate interest and create a robust market for Brown. The more teams that enter the fray, the better it could be for the Eagles' front office. McLane noted that the Eagles are looking for a significant return for their top wide receiver, with whispers of a first- and second-round draft pick being the asking price.
In 2025, Brown played 15 games, tallying 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. Despite his efforts, the Eagles fell short in their quest to defend their Super Bowl title, losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the wild-card round. As they aim to rebound in 2026, Brown's presence on the team remains uncertain.
