Jason Kelce was back in the booth for a second straight week during the NFL’s London series, and not everyone was buying what he was selling.
While Kelce was on color alongside Kurt Warner and play-by-play voice Dave Pasch for the Philadelphia Eagles-Jacksonville Jaguars matchup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, NFL podcaster and journalist Jason Whitlock took aim at the former Eagles center on X. Whitlock was bothered by the tone of Kelce’s commentary and the amount of space he seemed to take up during the telecast.
"What is Jason Kelce doing? Why is he speaking Jesus' name in vain during a football broadcast?
What was funny? Kurt Warner needs to check him, not laugh it off,” Whitlock said on X.
A few minutes later, Whitlock returned with another complaint, this time about Kelce’s presence on the broadcast.
"Jason Kelce talks non-stop," Whitlock said.
Kelce did spend part of the game leaning into his own background and making a point of complimenting Jaguars defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton. He also joked about how size changed his own path as a player.
"When I got fat, when I put on weight, I used to long-snap in high school. When I got to over 300 pounds-ish, it became really hard to look in between your legs...
Way to go, DaVon Hamilton. I love it,” Kelce said.
Kelce also noted that he had long-snapped in high school before eventually shifting away from that role and focusing on center once he got too heavy to keep doing it.

Nick Sirianni Just Sparked A Bigger Eagles Problem Than One Loss
Damien Harris added another layer to the Eagles frustrating loss to Jacksonville by questioning Nick Siriannis late-game management, especially on special teams. Philadelphia had just taken the lead on a field goal, but the decision that followed opened the door for a return that flipped the field and left the defense in a bad spot as the clock wound down.
For a team already dealing with questions about its personnel and the ripple effects of Lane Johnsons status, the episode felt bigger than one missed chance. The special-teams issues only sharpened the scrutiny on Sirianni and the staff, because this was not just about one bad bounce or one bad series - it was about how the Eagles are handling the margins that decide tight games. Jordan Mailata Suddenly Has To Carry A Bigger Eagles Burden
Jordan Mailata has had no shortage of reasons to feel the weight of the last week, and it has come at a time when the Eagles could least afford more instability. Between a narrow loss in London and the upheaval along the offensive line, the left tackle found himself talking about a group that suddenly looks very different and a team trying to steady itself during a three-game skid. Even with the disappointment, Mailata pointed to the way the room has handled the adversity and the responsibility that comes with being one of the veterans still standing.
Mailata knows the burden is heavier now as Philadelphia turns its focus to the Panthers, and his voice matters more with each passing day. He spoke about the challenge of leading through change, the need to keep the group together, and the belief that the Eagles can still regroup if the line and the locker room stay connected. The larger question hanging over this stretch is how quickly that unity can translate into cleaner play and a much-needed win. [Read more 🡒]
Eagles Week 6 Hopes Now Hinge On Two Crucial Returns
The Eagles are spending the days leading into Week 6 sorting through a familiar kind of uncertainty, with a long injury list shaping their preparation for Carolina. Will Shipley, Jalyx Hunt, Michael Carter II, Tyler Steen and others have all been dealing with various foot, knee, abdominal and hamstring issues, while some players are still working back from injured reserve and others are waiting on the next round of practice updates.
What makes this week especially tricky is that the injuries are not isolated to the margins of the roster, and Philadelphia has little room to absorb more setbacks. The upcoming practices should clarify who can trend upward in time for Sunday, but the bigger question for the Eagles is whether the offense can get the kind of reinforcement it needs to make this trip feel a lot less precarious.
