The Philadelphia Eagles' wide receiver lineup for 2026 is still taking shape, but one thing is certain: Jahan Dotson won't be part of it. Dotson, who served as the Eagles' WR3, is reportedly signing with the Atlanta Falcons on a two-year deal valued at $15 million, with $10 million guaranteed, as per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
While Dotson's departure from Philadelphia was anticipated, he leaves with positive reflections on his time with the team, especially after contributing to their Super Bowl victory in 2024. Over his two seasons with the Eagles, Dotson notched 37 receptions for 478 yards and a single touchdown.
Despite showing flashes of brilliance, his opportunities were limited, ranking 189th out of 200 wide receivers in yards per route run in 2025. Playing behind stars like A.J.
Brown and DeVonta Smith, Dotson's role was understandably constrained since his acquisition in 2024.
Dotson's move to the Falcons presents a chance for him to step into a more prominent role. He'll reunite with another former Eagle, Olamide Zaccheaus, who is also expected to join Atlanta in free agency.
As for the Eagles, they're in line to receive a 2027 sixth-round compensatory pick due to Dotson's departure. However, this compensatory pick could be affected if the Eagles decide to bring in free agents from outside the organization.
