Brandon Graham’s future is still hanging over Eagles camp, and Howie Roseman isn’t giving away much.
The Philadelphia general manager has put together a deep roster heading into training camp, but one familiar name is missing from the picture right now. Graham is a free agent after his contract expired during the summer, and he has repeatedly said this offseason that he wants to be back in Philly for 2026.
Roseman made his stance clear while also keeping the details under wraps.
"Communication between BG, the Eagles, and me has always been consistent. BG was the first draft pick I ever made as GM," Roseman said via The Athletic's Zach Berman.
"Those conversations, obviously between us and every player, we're going to keep between us and the player. I want to be consistent with whoever that is that we do that.
But obviously you're talking about one of the greatest Eagles players and an unbelievable person. Last year, his ability to come back in and help us was huge for our football team.
But again, those conversations we'll keep private."
Graham’s 2025 season looked different than the one Eagles fans had grown used to. He appeared in just nine games, stepping in when injuries hit the defensive line. In that stretch, he recorded eight tackles, three quarterback hits, three sacks and two tackles for loss.
He also filled a different role than usual. Instead of lining up primarily at defensive end, Graham moved inside to tackle while Jalen Carter dealt with shoulder injuries.
Vic Fangio’s decision to use Graham there paid off, and Graham found success in the middle. It was a more productive run than he has had in recent years.
Still, the Eagles’ depth up front makes the next step complicated. If Graham returns, there’s the obvious question of where he fits and who he would be replacing. There’s also the matter of whether he can still perform at the level fans have come to expect.
For now, the situation is going to stay unresolved. Eagles fans will have to wait and see whether Graham is back in uniform, and if he is, it could be the last time they watch him play on the field.

The scheme appears to give him a chance to do more as both a runner and a receiver, which matters for an offense trying to stay multiple without becoming complicated for its own players.
