Hollywood Brown Stuns Fans by Choosing Eagles Over Former Team Ravens

After weighing a potential return to Baltimore, Hollywood Brown ultimately chooses to join the Eagles, citing excitement to play alongside quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Wide receiver Hollywood Brown is set to join the Eagles, but his journey almost took him back to familiar territory in Baltimore, where his NFL career began.

Drafted in the first round by the Ravens in 2019, Brown spent three seasons with the team before requesting a trade to the Cardinals. His departure was driven by a feeling that Baltimore's offensive system wasn't the right fit for him at the time.

Since then, the Ravens have undergone significant changes. With Jesse Minter now at the helm and Declan Doyle as the offensive coordinator, Baltimore's new look might have tempted Brown to consider a return.

“I was really considering going back to Baltimore,” Brown revealed on the Speakeasy podcast. “I have good relationships there.

I let my agent handle things until it got serious. This being my second time in free agency, I wanted to avoid the small talk.

Once it was clear who really wanted me, I got involved.”

While Brown didn't specify how close he came to rejoining the Ravens, he did express excitement about playing for the Eagles, a team he grew up supporting. The prospect of teaming up with quarterback Jalen Hurts was another appealing factor.

As for the Ravens, their pursuit of Brown suggests they might be looking to strengthen their receiving corps ahead of the draft. With no new wideouts added this month, Baltimore's interest in Brown could indicate a strategic move to bolster their lineup.
