Thursday night turned into a rough showcase for a few familiar faces connected to the Eagles, as the Falcons and Packers combined to give Philadelphia fans plenty to notice. Atlanta stormed back for a 35-14 win after Green Bay opened fast, and the final result left both teams at 1-2. The Packers, though, were the ones who took the hit hardest.
Several former Eagles were part of the game, and most of them did not leave with much to brag about.
Jahan Dotson’s start in Atlanta remains shaky. The Falcons receiver finished with one catch for nine yards on three targets, bringing his season total to four receptions for 41 yards through three games.
Sydney Brown also had a quiet night. The Falcons safety made one tackle, giving him 11 on the season. That was a season-low for him, though he does appear to have a role in Atlanta’s defense.
Olamide Zaccheaus kept moving along with the Falcons as well, but not in a way that really moved the needle. He caught two passes for nine yards, leaving him with four receptions for 17 yards on the season.
There was one former Eagle who did provide a bright spot. Nick Muse, who was with Philadelphia during the 2024 season, made his mark on special teams with four tackles.
The biggest loss of the night for Eagles fans, though, came on the Green Bay sideline. Packers defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon was back in the spotlight, and Philadelphia fans had every reason to enjoy what they saw. Green Bay gave up 498 total yards, including 242 on the ground, and failed to record a sack.
Gannon’s Packers defense got steamrolled, and for Eagles fans, that was enough to make the night feel even worse for the former Philadelphia assistant.
