Moro Ojomo keeps making the kind of plays that force people to pay attention.
After his game-saving stop in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 1 win, Ojomo backed it up in Week 2 with another strong outing in the Eagles’ 24-20 victory over the Titans in Nashville. He finished with four tackles, and one of them stood out: a tackle for loss late in the fourth quarter that helped keep Tennessee out of the end zone when the game was tied.
On that snap, Ojomo overwhelmed Titans guard Peter Skoronski, who just signed a $100 million contract, and dropped running back Tyjae Spears for a three-yard loss.
The play didn’t get quite the same spotlight as Jalen Carter’s fourth-quarter sack that pushed the Titans away from the end zone, but Ojomo made a real impact in a big moment. He’s been playing starter-level snaps alongside Carter and Jordan Davis, and he’s showing why there’s already talk about a long-term deal next offseason - in Philadelphia or somewhere else.
That idea picked up steam after Week 1, when one NFL insider said Ojomo would be the next Eagles defensive tackle to “get rich” next offseason. Two games in, the case keeps getting stronger.
The Eagles already committed huge money to Carter and Davis this offseason, handing them a combined $171 million in guaranteed money. If Ojomo keeps producing at this level, he looks like the next one in line for a major payday.
The only question is whether the Eagles will be able to keep him, too, along with the rest of their young defensive talent.

The Eagles have dealt with tight end injuries before, but Goederts situation is different because of both his role and the lack of easy answers behind him. If the injury lingers, Philadelphia may have to look at adding help, either by promoting a backup into a larger role or exploring the trade market for another tight end to stabilize the offense while it waits for clarity. The Eagles left Nissan Stadium with a 24-20 win, but the kind of game that lingers usually says as much about the opponent as it does about the scoreboard.
