Eagles Suddenly Face A Tough Moro Ojomo Trade Decision

As the Philadelphia Eagles contend with a difficult season and look toward restructuring, significant trade interest is emerging for defensive tackle Moro Ojomo from teams like the Jaguars and Vikings.

The Eagles are entering the trade deadline in an unfamiliar spot, and defensive tackle Moro Ojomo has quickly become one of the names drawing attention.

With Philadelphia sitting last in the NFC East at 2-6 and expected to sell, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said on Monday, November 2, that Ojomo is attracting interest from multiple teams.

“There is significant interest in Moro Ojomo, their defensive tackle, teams like Jacksonville, Minnesota, some others are looking for help around this time of year,” Fowler said.

Ojomo, a 6-foot-3, 292-pound defensive tackle from Texas, was a seventh-round pick by Philadelphia in the 2023 NFL Draft. He has finished with 20 or more tackles in each of the last three seasons, and while he has not logged a sack this year, he had six in 2025.

That production has made him stand out as a player who has outperformed his draft slot, which is part of why his name is surfacing now as the deadline approaches.

Philadelphia’s season has already been rocked by major changes. Jalen Hurts is out for the year because of blood clot issues, and the offense has struggled with backup quarterback Tanner McKee at the controls. Coach Nick Sirianni recently changed the subject when asked about offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, and that situation could linger unless the Eagles find a dramatic turnaround.

Ojomo may not be the only Eagle on the move before the deadline passes, as the team looks to reshape its roster for the future. For now, though, he’s the defender at the center of the latest buzz.

Eagles Defense Has A Growing Issue Fangio Couldnt Ignore

Vic Fangio spent part of the week trying to put a finger on why the Eagles defense has felt uneven, and the answer starts with the usual mix of self-scouting and opponent prep. He pointed to the Giants offense as a unit with real strengths, while also noting the ongoing work the Eagles are doing to clean up their own issues and keep younger players like Andrew Mukuba and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. moving in the right direction.

The bigger concern, though, is that some of the moving parts up front and in the rotation have made consistency harder to find. Fangio said Jonathan Greenards limited practice time because of injuries has affected his adjustment, and he also addressed Jordan Daviss recent stretch, which has been part of the broader conversation around a defense still searching for its best version. For now, Fangio said there is no need to chase trade chatter, but the Eagles clearly have a few things to sort through before the defense feels settled again. [Read more 🡒]

Eagles Fans Have Even More Reason To Love The Cam Jurgens Trade

When the Eagles moved Cam Jurgens to Baltimore, it looked like the kind of deal that could pay off for Philadelphia well beyond this season. The return gave the Eagles extra draft capital, and the move also fit a familiar front-office pattern of cashing in on a player before the full risk of his on-field issues could drag down the value any further. Jurgens had already shown trouble in pass protection, and those concerns followed him after the swap.

Baltimore has kept turning to Jurgens at center, even as the problems have continued. For Philadelphia, that only sharpens the appeal of the trade, because the Eagles got out with assets in hand while another team absorbed the burden of trying to make it work. It is the sort of transaction that can look even better with time if the player never settles in, and right now the early returns suggest the Eagles may have timed it well. [Read more 🡒]

Nick Siriannis Response To This Eagles Slide Feels Hard To Defend

The Eagles latest slide has put Nick Sirianni back in the crosshairs, with two straight primetime losses deepening the scrutiny around a team that is now 2-6. Sirianni has owned the fact that the coaching staff shares in the blame, and he said some behind-the-scenes adjustments have already been made as Philadelphia tries to stop the bleeding.

Still, the public-facing picture is mostly unchanged for now. Sean Mannion is staying in place as offensive coordinator, and Tanner McKee will remain the starting quarterback as the Eagles head into their next stretch, leaving Sirianni to sell stability while the results keep raising questions about whether enough is actually changing.
