The A.J. Brown trade chatter is heating up, and all eyes are on Philadelphia as the Eagles weigh a major decision about their star wideout’s future. After a rocky 2025 season that included multiple trade requests from Brown, the possibility of him suiting up elsewhere in 2026 is very real - and one of his former teammates is making it clear where he thinks Brown should land.
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry didn’t hold back during a recent appearance on Up & Adams, where he made a full-on recruiting pitch to bring Brown to Baltimore.
“We would gladly love to have him,” Henry said. “A.J. is a dog.
I played with A.J. in Tennessee, so you know. I like playing with guys who have dog mentalities, so we would love A.J.
Come on over.”
Then he doubled down: “Please, please, A.J., come to Baltimore. Let’s go get this ring.
You got one in Philly. Come to Baltimore.”
That’s not just a sales pitch - that’s a former teammate going all-in to reunite with a guy he knows can change the game.
Henry and Brown have history. They were the offensive engine in Tennessee for three straight playoff seasons, sharing the load and giving defenses nightmares. That kind of chemistry doesn’t just disappear, and Henry clearly believes they can rekindle that fire in Baltimore.
From a football standpoint, it’s not hard to see why this potential move makes sense. Brown is a three-time Pro Bowler and still just 28 years old. He’s in the heart of his prime, and his physicality, route-running, and yards-after-catch ability would be a perfect fit in a Ravens offense that’s already built on toughness and explosive playmaking.
The big question is whether Baltimore is willing to pay the price - and that price starts with a first-round pick. That’s reportedly what the Eagles would want in return if they decide to move on from Brown. It’s a steep ask, but not an unreasonable one when you consider Brown’s production and pedigree.
Philadelphia, for its part, isn’t ruling anything out. A trade with the Ravens could be a realistic option, especially since Baltimore has the draft capital to make a compelling offer.
But the Eagles also know what they have in Brown. This isn’t a player you ship out lightly.
If they’re going to let him walk, they want to make sure they’re getting full value.
So now it becomes a waiting game. Will the Ravens push their chips in for another elite weapon?
Will the Eagles decide it’s time to turn the page? And will A.J.
Brown get the fresh start he’s been hinting at since before Philly’s Super Bowl run?
The offseason is just getting started, but the A.J. Brown sweepstakes might be one of the biggest stories to watch. And if Derrick Henry has anything to say about it, Baltimore might just be the next stop for one of the league’s top receivers.
