The Philadelphia Eagles have already made their first roster cut of training camp, and it landed on defensive end Ta’Quon Graham.
Graham was waived on August 2, 2026, after being excused from practice on Day 3. The team announced the move after training camp had only just gotten rolling, making him the first player to be cut since camp opened.
Graham’s Eagles stint was brief. He had spent the final two months of the season on Philadelphia’s practice squad after playing for the Atlanta Falcons from 2021 through 2025. In his NFL career, he has totaled 84 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
The timing of the move stands out because the Eagles’ third day of camp brought a wave of injuries. Rookies Keyshawn James-Newby, Micah Morris, and Jaeden Roberts all left practice early, with James-Newby and Roberts carted off the field. James-Newby plays edge rusher, while Morris and Roberts are offensive linemen.
That injury situation may have opened the door for Philadelphia to clear a roster spot, especially with the team potentially needing more bodies as it waits to learn how serious those injuries are. The offensive line, in particular, could become a priority if the injuries linger.
There’s also been speculation around another Graham returning to Philadelphia. Rumors have circulated about Brandon Graham playing the 2026 season with the Eagles, though he still has not re-signed. Howie Roseman already told the media that conversations have taken place, and Graham said earlier in the offseason that he wants to come back.
For now, the Eagles are dealing with a camp that has already produced injuries, a defensive unit that has looked strong, and an offense that has shown some shaky signs. With about four weeks left in camp, there’s still plenty of time for the roster to keep changing.
