Eagles Injuries Could Force An Unexpected Monday Night Receiver Into Focus

Can Dak Prescott exploit a depleted Eagles defense to bounce back and lead your DFS lineup to victory on Monday night?

Dak Prescott sits at the center of the Week 7 DraftKings Monday Night Football showdown build, and that makes sense with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys meeting again under the lights.

Prescott comes into this one looking to rebound after a season-low 13.0 Fantasy points. Even with that down game, he has been steady all season, averaging 17.5 FPPG.

His previous matchup with Philadelphia was far more productive, when he put up 28.1 Fantasy points against the Eagles. That kind of ceiling is in play again, especially with Prescott ranking second in the NFL with 246 pass attempts.

In 15 career games against Philadelphia, Prescott has averaged 19.2 FPTS per game with 3,944 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, nine interceptions, 205 rushing yards and four rushing scores.

Building around Prescott at captain means leaning into his pass catchers, and CeeDee Lamb is the obvious pairing. Prescott looks his way more than anyone else on the roster, and Lamb leads the Cowboys with 69 targets.

The production has followed the volume, too, as Lamb sits as the WR 2 in PPR formats. Philadelphia’s pass defense gives up the ninth-most Fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, which keeps Lamb right in the spotlight.

George Pickens is the other Dallas receiver in the mix, giving this lineup another way to ride Prescott’s production. Pickens has been the most explosive Cowboys wideout on a per-catch basis, with a 13.0 yards per reception average that leads the team. His ability to flip a play into a touchdown is exactly why he fits in a Prescott-centered build.

Brandon Aubrey also makes the cut. The Cowboys kicker hasn’t been as sharp this season, going 9-for-12 on field goal attempts, but the opportunity is still there.

Dallas is averaging 25.2 points per game, which ranks 11th in the NFL, and every trip into scoring range gives Aubrey a shot at Fantasy points. Philadelphia allows two field goal attempts per game to opposing kickers, so the volume is there.

Ryan Flournoy is the value piece that helps make the rest of the construction work. He has settled in as the clear third pass-catching option behind Lamb and Pickens, and he has played at least 66% of the snaps in every game this season.

That usage has already turned into results, with back-to-back games of at least 12 PPR points. Flournoy’s 36 targets rank third on the Cowboys, which matters if Philadelphia tries to take away the top two options.

The lone Eagle in the lineup is Lemon, and the setup gives him a real chance to change his season. His rookie year has been quiet so far, with no game over 10 PPR points yet.

But with DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks out, Lemon is in line to operate as WR 1 and should see more targets. That opens the door to WR 1 upside at his price point.

Eagles Loss Exposed A Defensive Line Problem Fans Will Notice

The snap counts from the Eagles Week 7 loss to the Cowboys offered a clear look at how much the defensive front was asked to carry, and how little splash came from that workload. With injuries still shaping the rotation, Philadelphia leaned heavily on its interior linemen and mixed in some role changes across the defense, while rookies and returning players added to the churn in personnel.

Jalen Carters usage stood out in particular, as he was on the field far more than usual but did not turn that volume into the disruptive night the Eagles needed. Jordan Davis was also pushed into a bigger share of the action, and the numbers pointed to a front line that was busy without being especially effective, which only deepens the concern as the defense tries to sort out who can consistently tilt a game in the middle. Eagles Trade Deadline Reality Just Got Hard To Ignore

A fifth straight loss has pushed Philadelphia into a trade-deadline conversation it probably did not want to be having this early, but it is now impossible to ignore. Around the league, the Eagles are being viewed as possible sellers, with attention turning to players whose contract situations make them easier to move if the front office decides the season has tilted too far in the wrong direction. Moro Ojomo, Riq Woolen, Dallas Goedert and Kelee Ringo have all been floated as names to watch, and the logic is straightforward: if the Eagles are going to retool, expiring deals are the cleanest path to future draft capital.

Hollywood Brown belongs in that same uncomfortable mix, especially after he was a healthy scratch against the Panthers. The sense is that Philadelphia is at least willing to listen on players who may not fit its long-term plan, even if that means entertaining decisions that would have seemed hard to imagine before the losing streak. What happens next will say plenty about how aggressively the Eagles want to protect the present versus cashing in pieces for the future, and that balance may not be easy to strike with the deadline closing in. Cowboys Took One Extra Shot At The Eagles After That Win

Dallas left Lincoln Financial Field with more than a win in Week 7, and the postgame mood said plenty about how the Cowboys viewed it. After snapping a two-game losing streak with a 38-21 victory over the Eagles, the visitors carried that momentum back to the locker room and into a celebration that made the rivalry feel even sharper.

Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer pointed to the teams positive energy after the game, while also stressing the need to keep the focus on Arizona next. For Philadelphia, the result already stung on the field, but the added swipe afterward only gave the loss a little more edge heading into the next round of NFC East business. [Read more 🡒]
