The Eagles are carrying a 2-0 record into Monday night’s Week 3 matchup with the Bears, and the next three weeks could tell a lot about how sturdy this start really is. Philadelphia has kept the noise down and the wins coming, even with some issues showing up on the field. Now comes a stretch that won’t exactly hand out any favors.
All three of the Eagles’ next opponents are 2025 playoff teams, which makes this run feel like a true early-season test. It starts in Chicago, moves home for the Rams, and then heads to London for Jacksonville.
Monday night sets up as a tricky one for the Bears. Chicago will most likely be without Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent, leaving Case Keenum in line for what could be his first start since 2023. That points the Bears toward a heavier rushing approach, especially against an Eagles defense that has to clean up its work against the run and keep Chicago backs Kyle Monangai and D’Andre Swift from repeating last year’s 281-yard outburst in the disastrous Black Friday meeting.
Vic Fangio’s group also has to keep an eye on tight end Colston Loveland, who could become more involved than he has been over the first two games. If Keenum starts leaning on that second-year weapon, the passing game could get more interesting than Chicago wants to admit. Still, even with offensive injuries of their own, the Eagles have enough punch to handle this one if DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks get rolling early.
Prediction: Eagles 27, Bears 17 (Record: 3-0)
The Week 4 home date with the Rams feels like the toughest swing of the bunch. Los Angeles is described as a strange team right now, with Myles Garrett on IR and an offense that hasn’t looked like last year’s version. Aaron Donald is still the looming problem, though, and by then he should be game-ready and getting more snaps.
That puts a lot on the Eagles’ front. Jalen Hurts has to stay upright, and Saquon Barkley needs room to work.
Cam Jurgens and Drew Kendall will have their hands full with Donald, and that matchup could shape the whole game. Philadelphia absolutely has the talent to win it, and it already beat the Rams last year, but the expectation here is that Los Angeles settles in and makes life miserable enough to squeeze out a tight one.
Prediction: Rams 24, Eagles 21 (Record: 3-1)
Then comes Week 5 in Jacksonville, with the game in London adding another layer of uncertainty. International games are always difficult to call, and the Eagles simply haven’t played many of them. What Philadelphia has done, though, is win both of its international appearances: against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil in 2024 and against the Jaguars in London in 2018.
Jacksonville itself remains tough to pin down. It has the look of a team that should win the AFC South, but there’s still real uncertainty about how good it actually is. The Jaguars opened by blowing out the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, then dropped their Week 2 game to the Denver Broncos.
For the Eagles, the formula is straightforward enough: keep Trevor Lawrence from having a big day against the secondary. Philadelphia has the more talented roster, and this matchup may end up being as much about the Eagles’ defense as it is about how far the offense has come by that point in the season.

Eagles Suddenly Face A Tougher Week 3 Question Than Expected
The Eagles went into the week expecting a clearer read on Chicagos quarterback situation, but the Bears now appear likely to be without Caleb Williams because of a hamstring injury. Tyson Bagent has cleared concussion protocol and could return to practice, which at least gives Chicago another option as it sorts through the position for Week 3.
Ben Johnson confirmed Bagents clearance, a positive development for a Bears team still trying to stabilize under center. Case Keenum could still end up starting, so Philadelphia may have to prepare for more than one possibility even as the matchup looks different than it did when the schedule first pointed to Williams. Eagles Suddenly Have A Week 3 WR Question Fans Did Not Expect
The Eagles entered the week expecting to sort through a familiar set of early-season injury concerns, but the wide receiver picture took an unexpected turn when Hollywood Brown was added late to the injury report with a knee issue and sat out a practice. For a team still trying to settle its passing-game rotation, the timing matters, especially with a game coming up and the depth chart suddenly looking a little thinner than it did a day earlier.
If Brown is unable to go, Elijah Moore could become part of the conversation in a bigger way. The offseason addition has not played in the first two games, but the Eagles may turn to him for specific offensive packages or even special teams work if they need another receiver available, giving him a chance to finally enter the mix at a moment when the team did not seem to be planning for one. Eagles Defense Suddenly Faces A Bigger Bears Problem Than Quarterback
The Bears quarterback picture has been murky all week, and that has kept a little extra attention on Chicagos visit to Philadelphia. Backup Tyson Bagent was back at practice after reportedly clearing concussion protocol, according to head coach Ben Johnson, after sitting out earlier in the week and fueling speculation that Case Keenum might get the nod if Caleb Williams remains sidelined.
For the Eagles, the bigger issue is not simply who lines up under center, but how much the uncertainty changes the shape of the game. The betting line has already moved as Bagents status has swung back and forth, and Philadelphias defense now has to prepare for a matchup that could still tilt depending on whether the Bears are dealing with one backup quarterback, another, or more late-week confusion.
