Bettors are loading up on the New York Giants to clear 7.5 wins, and the market is making that bet look louder by the day.
According to futures data passed along by BetMGM, the over is drawing 91% of the tickets and 94% of the handle on New York and New Jersey sports betting apps at +110. That makes it the most-bet over among all 32 NFL teams. The under sits at -135 and has only 9% of the tickets and 6% of the handle.
That kind of enthusiasm is raising eyebrows because it feels awfully familiar. The Giants were in the same spot last year after a 3-14 season, when bettors pushed them toward the over on a 5.5-win total.
Then the season played out in ugly fashion again. Injuries piled up, Brian Daboll was fired, and New York finished 4-13.
This time around, the optimism is tied to a different pitch. The Giants are being sold as a team with a real coach and a real plan, with John Harbaugh at the center of the conversation.
They also have sophomore year Jaxson Dart and Abdul Carter, a healthy Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo, first round picks Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa in the mix, and free-agent additions Isaiah Likely, Tremaine Edmunds, and Darnell Mooney. Brian Burns is also coming off a 16.5 sack season.
The argument is simple: they’ve got pieces, and they might finally be ready to stop being a punchline. Unless, of course, you’re the Jets.
The schedule, though, is no joke. New York opens with the Cowboys in primetime, then goes to the Rams in primetime before facing the Titans, Cardinals, and Commies. After that comes the Saints, Texans, Eagles, Commies again on Thursday Night Football, the Jag-wires, Colts, Niners, Seahawks, Browns, Lions, Cowboys, and Eagles again.
One read on it lands around 6-7 wins. Another path has them hanging around 7-9 before the final week, when the Eagles have already clinched the NFC East for the third straight year. In that scenario, the Birds rest their starters, Tanner McKee and Tank Bigsby take over, and the Giants’ first team sneaks out a win to get to 8-9 and cash the over.
For context, BetMGM has the Eagles at 10.5 wins, with 60% of the tickets and handle on the over.

One Eagles Camp Sleeper Is Already Forcing His Way Into View
Training camp is where the Eagles usually sort out the familiar names from the long shots, and this summers list of possible breakout stories already has a little bit of everything. Tight end DaeQuan Wright comes in with the kind of college production and spring flashes that can get a player noticed quickly, while Danny Gray is trying to reestablish himself after last summers injury setback and a stint on the practice squad. Add in a few young defensive backs and a running back trying to carve out a role, and there are enough camp subplots here to keep the competition interesting.
The most intriguing part is how many of these players are arriving with a real chance to force the issue before the pads even come on. Maximus Pulley, a Wofford product with a knack for finding the football, was already active in spring work, and Elijah Mitchell managed to turn a tryout into a roster opportunity. For a team that values depth and versatility, the early days of camp could be the first real test of whether any of these sleepers can move from background noise to part of the conversation. Howie Roseman Keeps Losing Stars And Somehow Proving Eagles Fans Right
For all the turnover that comes with winning in the NFL, Howie Roseman has made a habit of turning departures into the next wave of contenders. Philadelphia has watched stars leave through retirement, free agency and trades, yet the roster keeps finding a way to stay relevant, with one Pro Bowl name after another being replaced by the next drafted or developed piece. From the offensive line to the defensive front, the pattern has become part of the Eagles' identity under Roseman, and it helps explain why the team has kept showing up in January and beyond.
The latest roster reshaping only adds to that reputation, with the Eagles again facing a new look on offense and another round of questions about how the pieces will fit. The bigger picture is hard to ignore: Philadelphia has remained one of the league's most consistent postseason teams over the past five years and has reached three Super Bowls in the last decade. For Eagles fans, the frustration of losing familiar stars has been matched by a familiar comfort - Roseman usually seems to have another answer ready. [Read more 🡒]
These Eagles Camp Sleepers Could Shake Up The Roster Battle
Training camp has a way of turning fringe names into real roster candidates, and this years Eagles group has a few players worth watching closely. Johnny Wilson, Chance Campbell, Uar Bernard, Elijah Mitchell, Shaun Wade and Maximus Pulley all fit that mold in different ways, with each bringing a mix of background, upside and team fit that could matter once the competition gets rolling.
The appeal here is less about proven production than about opportunity, because Philadelphia has enough depth questions in a few spots to leave the door open for a surprise. Bernard still has a long learning curve but rare physical traits, Mitchell arrives with familiarity in the offensive system, Wade could benefit if the Eagles carry extra cornerbacks, and Pulley lands in a safety picture that looks wide open enough to keep an eye on all summer.
