Quinyon Mitchell has already earned a reputation as one of the NFL’s up-and-coming cornerbacks, even if the name still doesn’t carry the same mainstream weight as some of the league’s other elite defensive backs. The numbers that usually get tossed around against him - especially the interception total - don’t tell the whole story. When quarterbacks challenge him, the ball usually doesn’t end up in the receiver’s hands, and by the third quarter, some offenses seem to stop testing him altogether.
Baker Mayfield, though, made it clear in Week 4 of the 2025 season that he wasn’t exactly locked in on Mitchell’s game. That moment showed up in the new Netflix series Quarterbacks, where the Buccaneers quarterback is one of the featured subjects, and the exchange was as blunt as it gets.
“Who the f*** are you, anyway?” Mayfield asked.
“I stole that one directly from Arian Foster back in the day.”

“You know who I am,” Mitchell responded.
“No,” Mayfield noted, “I don’t.”
The comment lit a fire under Mitchell, who immediately threw fists before the Buccaneers’ linemen stepped in to break things up. Mayfield later said that was exactly what he was going for, adding that he borrowed the approach from Houston Texans legend Arian Foster.
Philadelphia, however, had the final word. The Eagles beat Tampa Bay 31-25 to move to 4-0, and Mitchell played a major role with five passes defensed and five tackles. After that performance, Mayfield is likely to remember No. 27 the next time he’s thinking about where to go with the football - because throwing his way can bring a drive to a halt in a hurry.
