In a day of roster shake-ups, the Philadelphia Eagles are seeing both Josh Uche and Azeez Ojulari depart, with Ojulari heading to the Atlanta Falcons on a one-year deal. This move marks a homecoming for Ojulari, who grew up near Atlanta and honed his skills at the University of Georgia.
Last season, the Eagles brought Ojulari on board with what many considered a bargain contract. However, his time in Philadelphia didn't pan out as hoped.
Ojulari started the 2025 season as a healthy scratch and only saw playing time due to a series of injuries among the Eagles' edge rushers. He managed to log 67 defensive snaps and one on special teams before a hamstring injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
The Eagles initially signed both Uche and Ojulari with the expectation that they could bolster the team's edge rusher rotation. Unfortunately, neither player made the impact the team was looking for. Now, as the 2026 season approaches, the Eagles are back to the drawing board, searching for new talent to enhance their pass rush capabilities.
