Logging 26 points and 11 rebounds in just 31 minutes, Embiid's performance was pivotal. Despite limited fourth-quarter minutes, he delivered a decisive three-pointer with 29.2 seconds left, sealing the win for the Sixers.
Coach Nick Nurse revealed post-game that the plan was to keep Embiid's minutes around 30, mindful of the physical discomfort he was visibly managing throughout the night. Yet, when it mattered most, Embiid rose to the occasion.
Rookie VJ Edgecombe praised Embiid's resilience, saying, "The media tries to make it seem like he doesn't want to play basketball. But he's out there, in pain, making big shots. He barely could have raised his right hand."
