ET at the iconic Madison Square Garden, and it’s shaping up to be a compelling matchup between two Eastern Conference contenders.
For Philly, it’s been a bit of a breather since their last outing-a Sunday loss to the Atlanta Hawks. That game wrapped up their schedule before the in-season tournament semifinals and finals took center stage, with the Knicks ultimately taking home the Cup hardware.
In terms of health, the Sixers are still working through a few key absences. Kelly Oubre Jr. (left knee sprain) and Trendon Watford (left adductor strain) remain sidelined.
Both players have progressed to individualized on-court work, which is a good sign for their eventual return, but they won’t be available for Friday’s clash. Oubre in particular has been missed, especially for his two-way versatility and perimeter presence.

That game marked the first time all season he played on such a short turnaround (two games in three nights), and how he’s feeling heading into Friday will be something to watch closely.
The Sixers’ offense and interior defense revolve around Embiid’s presence, and his availability could swing the balance of this matchup.
As for the Knicks, they’ve got momentum and confidence after their Cup run, and they’ll be looking to keep that energy rolling in front of a home crowd. The Sixers, meanwhile, are aiming to reset and reestablish rhythm after a few days off and some roster uncertainty.
