Zane Durant Stuns at NFL Combine With Blazing Speed

Former Penn State standout Zane Durant turns heads at the NFL Combine with his record-breaking 40-yard dash performance.

Zane Durant is turning heads at the NFL Combine, and for good reason. The former Penn State defensive tackle clocked a remarkable 4.76 seconds in the 40-yard dash, showcasing speed that outpaces even some of the league's top quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott.

Weighing in at 290 pounds, Durant not only led all defensive tackles in Indianapolis with this impressive time but also demonstrated his explosive quickness with a 1.66-second 10-yard split. Standing at 6-foot-1, his agility and speed are making scouts take notice.

Durant made the decision to return to Penn State for his senior year, and it paid off. Over 12 games, he racked up 25 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and snagged his first career interception. Throughout his college career with the Nittany Lions, he amassed 22 tackles for loss and 10 sacks over 54 games.

As the 2026 NFL Draft approaches, set to be held in Pittsburgh outside Acrisure Stadium from April 23-25, Durant’s performance at the Combine is sure to bolster his draft stock. Keep an eye on this dynamic defensive lineman as he transitions to the professional stage.
