Penn State WR Target Khalil Taylor Sets Visit With Unexpected ACC Team

A top Pennsylvania wideout is keeping his options open as another ACC program enters the mix.

Khalil Taylor, the dynamic wide receiver out of Pine-Richland and a former Penn State commit, is back in the recruiting spotlight-and this time, he’s got Syracuse on the calendar.

Taylor confirmed on Thursday via X that he’s locked in for an official visit with the Orange from June 19 to 21. And no, this isn’t just another name on the list-Syracuse becomes the fourth program to secure an official visit from one of the top uncommitted receivers in the 2026 class.

The 6-foot-plus playmaker already has visits lined up with Colorado (May 15-17), Georgia (May 29-31), and a return trip to Penn State (June 5-7). That’s a diverse group of schools, each offering a different pitch-altitude and flash in Boulder, SEC pedigree in Athens, and familiarity in Happy Valley. Now, Syracuse enters the mix, and they’re doing it with momentum.

Taylor initially committed to Penn State while James Franklin was still at the helm, but he reopened his recruitment on October 10, 2025. Since then, his stock has only risen, and the offers haven’t slowed down. Virginia Tech and Franklin-now coaching elsewhere-have both extended offers, but it was new Nittany Lions head coach Matt Campbell who re-offered Taylor on December 17, 2025, signaling that Penn State is still very much in the hunt.

As for Syracuse, this is a notable win on the recruiting trail-at least for now. Head coach Fran Brown and offensive coordinator Josh Gattis are clearly making Taylor a priority, and they’ve got the visit to prove it. The Orange are trying to build something under Brown, and landing a high-upside receiver like Taylor would be a statement.

Taylor brings a blend of size, speed, and route-running polish that makes him a fit in just about any offensive system. He’s the kind of wideout who can stretch the field vertically but also do damage in the short and intermediate game. With official visits now stacking up, the next few months will be key in determining where he ultimately lands.

For now, Syracuse has a shot-and that’s all you can ask for when a blue-chip talent like Taylor is still weighing his options.
