Penn State Brings in Kashif Moore as New Wide Receivers Coach
The Nittany Lions are making moves on the offensive side of the ball, officially bringing in Kashif Moore as their new wide receivers coach. Moore joins the Penn State staff after a brief stint at Colorado State, where he had been hired this past December as the Rams’ wide receivers coach and pass game specialist.
Moore’s coaching journey has been on a steady climb over the last few years, and this latest step puts him in one of college football’s most competitive environments. Before his time at Colorado State, Moore spent three seasons at UConn from 2023 to 2025, where he helped develop some serious talent at the receiver position.
Most notably, he worked closely with Skyler Bell - a standout wideout who earned All-American honors under Moore’s guidance the last two seasons. That kind of player development doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s a big reason why Penn State is betting on Moore to elevate their receiving corps.
He steps into the role vacated by Noah Pauley, who had originally come to Happy Valley with head coach Matt Campbell from Iowa State. Pauley’s time in State College was short-lived, as he’s now headed to the NFL to join the Green Bay Packers as their wide receivers coach.
For Penn State, this hire is about more than just filling a vacancy - it’s about continuing to build a dynamic, explosive offense. With Moore’s background in both wide receiver development and passing game coordination, the Nittany Lions are hoping to sharpen their aerial attack and bring more consistency to a position group that’s shown flashes but is still looking for that next-level breakout.
Moore brings not just coaching chops, but also the kind of energy and relatability that resonates with young players. As Penn State continues to push for a Big Ten title and a spot in the expanded College Football Playoff, every hire matters - and this one could pay dividends in both player development and recruiting.
Time will tell how quickly Moore can make his mark, but given his track record, the Nittany Lions’ receivers are in good hands.
