Penn State Football: A New Era for Wide Receivers
Penn State has officially welcomed a new face to its coaching staff, with Kashif Moore stepping in as the Nittany Lions’ wide receivers coach. Moore fills the shoes of Noah Pauley, who made a swift departure to join the Green Bay Packers as their wide receivers coach, despite initially coming over with head coach Matt Campbell from Iowa State.
Moore brings a wealth of experience from his time with the UConn Huskies, where he spent the last three seasons. His standout achievement was coaching All-American wideout Skyler Bell, UConn’s first consensus All-American and a Biletnikoff Award finalist. Although Moore was recently on the books at Colorado State as a pass-game specialist and wide receivers coach under Jim Mora Jr., his heart now belongs to Happy Valley.
A New Jersey native, Moore is no stranger to the Northeast, having played wideout at UConn from 2008 to 2011. His regional ties and coaching accolades make him a promising addition to Penn State, especially as the team looks to revitalize a wide receiver group that has struggled in recent seasons.
Moore takes on the challenge with enthusiasm, expressing on social media, “It’s an honor and privilege! Thankful.” His appointment comes at a pivotal time, as Penn State fans hope he can inject new energy and expertise into the team’s offensive arsenal.
The move to bring Moore on board had been anticipated for about a week, following reports from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz and confirmation from the Centre Daily Times’ Jon Sauber.
Moore’s journey into coaching began after a stint in the NFL as an undrafted free agent. He started his coaching career in 2019, working with high school teams before moving through the collegiate ranks. His path included stops at Wesleyan, Cornell, Albany, and UConn, each experience sharpening his skills and preparing him for this new chapter at Penn State.
With Moore now part of the Nittany Lions, fans and players alike are eager to see how his expertise and passion will translate into success on the field. The goal is clear: to transform Penn State’s wide receivers into a formidable force in college football.
