Campbell highlighted Tracy’s knack for rising to the occasion, recalling his game-changing punt return against Ohio State two years ago. Tracy has consistently shown up in big moments, proving himself as an elite player when it counts the most.
Looking ahead, Tracy is poised to start in one of the Lions' strongest units - a cornerback room that could be among the best in the Big Ten. Alongside returning starter Audavion Collins, standout freshman Daryus Dixson, and promising backup Jahmir Joseph, Tracy is set to play a pivotal role under position coach Terry Smith and new defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn.
In the past two seasons, Tracy has racked up 67 tackles, including five tackles for loss and a sack in 2025. His sophomore year featured a memorable pick-six against Ohio State, and he was a reliable punt returner, amassing 87 yards on 15 returns.
At 5-foot-11 and around 190 pounds, Tracy also has the potential to move to safety, where the team lacks a clear leader. With returning backup Vaboue Toure and a few transfers like Omarion Davis and Jamison Patton, Tracy’s adaptability will be crucial in shaping the defensive backfield.
