Magic Fans Face A Big Viewing Change This Season

Get ready to catch all the Orlando Magic action this season with DAZN's new streaming service, offering exclusive access and fan-friendly options.

The Orlando Magic are heading into the 2026-27 season with Sean Sweeney taking over as coach, and fans who want to follow the team’s next step now have a new place to do it. DAZN is the Magic’s exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming partner, and it will carry preseason and regular-season games along with additional team content throughout the season.

For local fans, the setup is straightforward: every game not chosen for exclusive national broadcast by one of the league’s partners will be available on DAZN live and on-demand. That gives Orlando supporters a direct line to the team’s full local slate.

The broadcasts will also come with some familiar voices. Dante Marchitelli, who has been around the organization in different roles for nearly 30 years, is the new lead play-by-play announcer. Jeff Turner is back for his 14th season as an analyst, and Kendra Douglas will return in her reporting role.

DAZN, pronounced da-zone, is a sports streaming service that offers live and on-demand events without a cable subscription. It operates in more than 200 countries and territories and built its name through combat sports coverage, especially boxing, MMA and pay-per-view fight nights. In 2026, it added regional NBA streaming rights for several teams, including the Magic, Knicks, Cavs, Pacers, Spurs, Nets, Timberwolves, Grizzlies and Wizards.

The appeal for fans is the flexibility. DAZN can be watched on smart TVs, phones, tablets, computers and connected devices, making it easy to follow games at home or on the move.

For the Magic’s home market, DAZN is offering several subscription choices. The Standard Season Pass is priced at $119.99 per season and includes every locally produced preseason and regular-season Magic game live and on-demand, plus pregame, halftime and postgame shows and other Magic programming. It also includes other DAZN content for free, such as international soccer and boxing.

The Standard Monthly Pass is $19.99 per month and includes the same live and on-demand game access along with the Magic studio programming.

For fans who want the upgraded package, the Ultimate Season Pass costs $139.99 per season. It includes everything in Standard, plus a one-time 20% discount code for OrlandoMagicShop.com, multiple concurrent streams and IP addresses per account, alternate feeds and camera angles, and multiview capability.

The Ultimate Monthly Pass is $24.99 per month and includes the same added features, along with the one-time 20% discount code for OrlandoMagicShop.com.

Magic season ticket holders will receive a 20% discount on Season Pass subscriptions during the first year of the partnership.

DAZN is also offering a free seven-day trial in the Magic’s broadcast territory at the start of the season, giving new users a chance to decide which plan fits best.

To sign up, fans can go to the DAZN website or open the app on a preferred device. After selecting a location, choosing a plan, creating an account and entering payment information, users can review their order and start streaming.

Magic Just Made A Development Move Fans Should Care About

Ronnie Burrells arrival as head coach of the Magics G League affiliate is the kind of development move that can matter long after the summer headlines fade. For Orlando, the G League pipeline has become an important part of the organizations broader identity, and adding a new voice to guide that group gives the franchise another chance to align its young players, system and teaching habits from top to bottom.

The move comes at a time when several teams are reshaping their developmental infrastructure, with coaching staffs shifting across the league and player development taking on even greater importance. Orlando has made no secret of how much it values that side of the operation, and Burrells hire is another signal that the Magic want their prospects getting the same message whether they are in Orlando or down with the affiliate. Magic Pipeline Just Took A Turn Fans Should Watch Closely

The Magics player-development pipeline has a new voice at the top, with Ronnie Burrell hired as head coach of the Osceola Magic. Burrell brings previous NBA assistant coaching experience and arrives with real credibility in the G League after being named the leagues coach of the year in 2023, giving Orlandos affiliate a veteran hand as it continues to serve as a proving ground for the organization.

Burrell replaces Dylan Murphy, who left to join the University of Michigan staff, and the move keeps the focus on how Orlando wants its development arm to function going forward. The Osceola Magic are set to open their 2026-27 season on Nov. 8, so the next steps for Burrell will come into view quickly as he starts shaping the roster and the routines that help determine who gets the call up next. Jamal Cain Has One Big Chance To Earn Orlando's Trust

Jamal Cain is back in a familiar but meaningful spot for the Magic heading into the new season, moving into his second year with the team after last seasons contract conversion from a two-way deal to a standard NBA contract. Now entering his fifth year in the league, Cain remains the kind of role player Orlando likes to keep around because of his energy, athleticism and ability to hit from deep, traits that can matter a lot over a long season when the rotation gets tested.

The challenge for Cain is turning that profile into dependable production when the games tighten and the minutes become more important. He was pressed into a starting role during the playoffs and struggled to give Orlando much offensively, which is why this season feels like a real proving ground. The Magic need him to show growth and make good on the trust theyve already invested, especially if he is going to be a useful bench piece when the team needs an extra spark. [Read more 🡒]
