LeBron James’ move to the Philadelphia 76ers has already stirred up plenty of noise, and not all of it is praise. The reaction around the league has ranged from skepticism to outright hot takes, even though plenty of people still view Philadelphia as a real title threat next season if the group stays healthy, especially when the postseason arrives.
Jason Williams is clearly not buying the hype in the same way. On a recent episode of his podcast, Hoopin' N Hollerin', the former Miami Heat guard went out on a limb and backed the Orlando Magic to finish ahead of LeBron’s new team, according to a post on X by Barstool Sports.

“Orlando Magic will finish higher than the Sixers,” he said.
That drew an immediate reaction from his co-host Adam “Rone” Ferrone, who questioned whether Williams was under the influence of w**d. Williams didn’t back off. Instead, he escalated things by putting his eyebrow on the line.
“I will put my left eyebrow, shave it all the way off, and you all gotta shave your right eyebrows off.”
The bold prediction comes with Philadelphia already looking loaded even before LeBron entered the picture. The team had previously sent Paul George to the Boston Celtics in a deal that brought back 2024 Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, a major swing for a roster that already includes Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe.
Brown’s arrival is also said to have played a big part in LeBron’s decision, with the Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers among the other teams reportedly on the final shortlist.
Even with those other possible landing spots in the mix, the 76ers still look like a stacked group, and they’re not done yet. Philadelphia is still searching for depth at multiple positions, and Andre Drummond’s departure has left them without a proper backup for Embiid.
For now, that leaves Williams in a risky spot. If the 76ers finish ahead of Orlando, his left eyebrow is gone.
